Excursion by Bus, Foot, and Ferry to the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art

Date: Thursday November 7

Time : 9:45am - 3:30 pm approx 

Place : South Bellevue Park and Ride, Bay 1

            2700 Bellevue Way SE

 

Join ENN on this (almost) day-long adventure. Park at the bus station (see address above). We will take the #550 Metro bus at 9:58am, getting off at 4th and Cherry. It’s then 10 minutes downhill to the ferry terminal, where we will walk-on the 10:40 sailing. 35 scenic minutes later we will arrive at Bainbridge and walk the one block to BIMA.

 

The major exhibit is a retrospective of the work of Dennis Evans and Nancy Mee, individually and in collaboration. Here is a  description of the artists and their art.   We will have a docent-led tour of the show. There will also be time to see the other exhibits at BIMA, (especially the room devoted to part of their extensive   collection of Artists’ Books), and to visit the very inviting shop. We can have lunch  in the Bistro at the Museum or at one of the many eateries nearby. We will    reverse the process to return to our starting point; the bus back to Bellevue leaves from 2nd and Cherry. Please feel free to bring a friend (or 2) on what promses to be areal treat

 

Cost Breakdown: Bus- $1 each way; Ferry- $5.10 rt; BIMA- free.
