"Friends in Boxes," by Kate Barber

"Friends in Boxes," by Kate Barber, Wider Horizons Village Member

Staying connected these days often means meeting virtually.
Kate Barber, member of Wider Horizons Village in Seattle,
generously agreed to share her take on this new form of togetherness.

A little about Kate:

I have been painting and drawing since childhood.  However, working as a medical reference librarian, for the King County Medical Society, at The University of Washington for 34 years did cut into my drawing and painting time.  With retirementIn in 2005, I have resumed my art, joined an art group and go out with the Urban Sketchers group when I can.  I use pen and ink plus watercolors as well as my iPad to express my vision of the world around me.  I post often on Facebook and Instagram.

See more of Kate's drawings and learn about our "sister village"  in the May newsletter from our friends in Seattle.
