    Time : 10 am - Noon
    Place : Weowna Park
                 1200 164th Ave. SE
                 Bellevue
Description:  For our first December walk we will return to an old Bellevue favorite ( yes! We own a park!) This delightful 90 acre park occupies a bluff above Lake Sammamish. We will walk through groves of old trees and forget that we are surrounded by suburban developments. There are 2.5 miles of trails, rated easy to moderate, with an elevation gain of up to 500 feet. Depending upon the inclination of the group we can stay on the upper loop trails or descend into the wide ravine and up again, for a good workout. ( Hiking pole are suggested for this part of the park).
Directions:  Meet at the Lake Hills Community Park ( the above address), where there is convenient parking and a restroom. From there we will warm up on a  0.3 mile walk on the Lake to Lake Trail to the Weowna trailhead ( which has scanty parking).
