• Named in honor of the City of Renton Parks and Recreation Director (1949-1977), Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park is a lovely lake front park near the south end of Lake Washington near I-405 exit 5. The address is 1201 Lake Washington Blvd N, Renton, 98056

• Trail is mostly level and paved with a few wood plank bridges. It is wheelchair accessible.

• Meet at the South end of the park. The sign says South Beach. As you enter the roundabout, park in the parking lot on the right side (see photo). Look for Larry in his red coat.

• We will walk two loops. The short loop takes about 20 minutes and goes to Bird Island. The longer loop takes about an hour and heads north. It includes plant species interpretation, an Ivars and a couple of other eateries in case we want a snack.
