Since a test of Open AI broke into "Hugging Face," high-profile CEO's and front-line in the field of Artifical Intelligence have been challenging the pace and direction of AI innovation. Some are predicting human extinction. How probable is that? What are the ways it could happen? What would it mean to slow innovation? What would be the benefits and risks and to whom? Who would make the many decisions involved? What if "we" (in the US) agree to slow down but other nations do not? 

 

Attend the AI Interest Group meeting to discuss this topic.
