Larry Brown
Event Name:  Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park Walk
When:  June 21, 2024,  10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Organizer:  Larry Brown (cell 425-351-2270)
Where:  It has been a year since we did this fun walk. Named in honor of the City of Renton Parks and Recreation Director (1949-1977), Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park is a lovely lake front park near the south end of Lake Washington, near I-405 exit 5. The address is 1201 Lake Washington Blvd N, Renton, 98056
  • Meet at the South end of the park. The sign says South Beach. As you enter the roundabout, park in the parking lot on the right side (see photo). Look for Larry in his red coat.
  • Trail is mostly level and paved with a few wood plank bridges. It is wheelchair accessible.
  • We will walk two loops. The short loop takes about 20 minutes and goes to Bird Island. The longer loop heads north. It includes plant species interpretation and a Kidd Valley and Ivar's in case we want to snack.
Registrations will be closed at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 20. When you register please leave a contact number in the “comments” section (or another way to contact you). Having contact information is important in case the organizer needs to reach you. After you register, you will receive an email confirmation as well as a reminder email. You know your registration was successful when you receive these emails. If you are delayed or have decided not to come after registering, please be sure to contact the organizer Larry Brown at 425-351-2270 (text is best). Without hearing from you, we will wait for 10 minutes only! Contact the organizer Larry Brown with any questions.
