MAKE A DIFFERENCE - VOLUNTEER WITH EASTSIDE NEIGHBORS NETWORK!

Volunteers provide the helping hand and neighborly support that make it easier, safer, and more enjoyable for our Eastside neighbors to stay in the homes and communities they love.

Our volunteers have the opportunity to do things they enjoy doing while helping a neighbor and making new friends. Volunteers hear great stories and have a chance to learn about history from people who lived it. They have the satisfaction of knowing they're improving lives and strengthening our community.

As a volunteer, you decide the type of service or office work you prefer, and the days and hours you would like to volunteer. Options include work-from-home opportunities.

• Helping an older or less mobile neighbor get to the grocery store, Community Center, or theater outing
• Making a weekly "sunshine" call or wellness check-in
• Lending a hand to clear leaves off a driveway
• Organizing a walking group
• Teaching a "newbie" to use their "smart" phone
• Walking the dog while the owner recovers from surgery
  

We feel it's important to nurture relationships across the generations, so we welcome student volunteers who would like to collect volunteer hours, stay-at-home-parent volunteers who'd like a change in routine or to maintain their resumes (babies and children are welcome!), or anyone else who cares about the wellbeing of aging Bellevue. 

If you have time, ideas, and a desire to be of service, we welcome your participation. And if there's something you need but have hesitated to ask for, maybe we can help.
