ENN will host a guided walk through the Bird Sanctuary, noting sights and sounds of inhabitants.

Our guide will be Lori Danielson, a member of the Audobon Society. She has been bird watching at Juanita Bay Park for many years and is very familiar with the paths and the birds that we will find there. Lori will point out birds visually, and she will have a phone app with bird sounds to help the vision impaired know what to listen for

Lori's talk will take place on a paved trail which is wheelchair accessible and scooter-friendly. There is also a boardwalk we can continue to explore if everyone is comfortable taking that path, but it is not necessary for the talk.

Binoculars will be helpful!  Lori will have several to share if you do not have your own. Bring water, wear sunblock, and bring a raincoat and or umbrella in case the weather turns.  You might want to bring a light snack as well.

We will meet in the Juanita Bay Park parking lot, off Market Street, at 1 p.m. The paths are wheelchair-accessible from the lot.

And of course, bring your camera or a phone with a camera if you plan to take pictures!

ENN Walking Group Policy & Procedure

Walks will start promptly at the announced starting time. After 30 minutes, everyone will turn back.  This enables folks to walk at whatever pace they are comfortable and begin and end together.

One person in the group will be the lead for the walk.  The leader's responsibilities will be to check the trail beforehand and be the person to take the cancellation calls for that day.

The group chose walks in Bellevue as well as outside the area for variety and incorporate familiar and new trails to the group.  Walks will be posted on the ENN web site Events Calendar and announced in the Sunday morning email messages.

Release from Liability: Walkers agree to release and hold harmless Eastside Neighbors Network from any and all claims by reason of participation in this activity.  Walkers will be required to complete and sign a release form before beginning the walk.
